Sussex Schools Football Association
A bespoke database-driven platform for a schools football governing body founded in 1921, handling competitions, registrations and payments across Sussex.
Overview
SSFA runs competitive football for schools across Sussex, coordinating multiple age groups, formats and district and county-level competitions. The previous setup relied on manual administration. UNIT10 built a custom database and website to bring competition management, school registration and payments into one system.
Design
A clear, institutional interface prioritising navigation and information hierarchy over decoration — built for teachers and coaches who need to find fixtures, rules and registration forms quickly.
Technical approach
Custom database architecture underpins the competition and registration structure, rather than a generic off-the-shelf sports club platform.
Where it stands today
In active use administering school football competitions across Sussex, including integration with Sussex FA and the English Schools' FA.
